Are you a bike commuter? Do you ride at night. Do you hate bugs? Well, let’s have a little fun today and watch an army of bugs attack Bikeblogger while he’s riding.
OH NO!!!! What Really Happened To Bikeblogger?
A few nights ago, Bikeblogger encountered a problem that many of us commuters have had to deal with before. While riding his bike an army of bugs were flying into his eyes. His nose. And into his mouth.
It was as if he was under attack. There’s been many times while riding that I’ve dealt with the same problem. Then again, if you’re a commuter there’s a high probability that you’ve been attacked by bugs also.
Bikeblogger Offered A Few Tips To Win the War Against the Bug Army
Bikeblogger did mention a few tips that any seasoned bicycle commuter would know. It’s smart to wear eye protection such as sunglasses during the day. And clear bicycle glasses at night.
Protective eyewear will protect your eyes from flying debris. Wind. And those nasty bugs.
Another tip that he offered was wearing a net over your helmet. If you dont mind looking like a bee keeper, I suppose this is fine. Personally I’ve never tried one of these before, so I can’t really offer an opinion on how effective they are.
I Have A Great Tip Of My Own
What I can provide is some incredible advice on how to keep the mosquitoes from biting you. I haven’t ridden at night in a long time but when I did, I used what many Park Rangers use. It’s called Repel 100 Insect Repellent.
This stuff can protect you from mosquitoes, ticks, gnats, biting flies, chiggers and fleas for up to 10 hours.
Now as promised, I’m going to provide a link below with Bikeblogger talking about his fight with an army of bugs while commuting to work.
