The Brompton CatEye Volt light was introduced in 2016 as a 300 Lumen light – the Volt 300 and upgraded to a 400 lumen light in 2018.
The problem is that they have been short in supply (none so far this year?)
And the CatEye have discontinued the Volt in favor of a new light – the AMPP.
But what if you want one on your Brompton – you can’t get a bracket.
Here’s an idea on how to mount a CatEye AMPP light.
This Video about the Brompton CatEye front light alternative bracket shows:
We previously made a video on how to install the Brompton CatEye Volt 400: CHECK IT OUT HERE!
And how to install the Brompton Hub Dynamo (for hot to fix / replace the bracket from that): CHECK IT OUT HERE!

What is the Brompton CatEye Volt light?
Brompton and CatEye have collaborated to create a powerful front light and mount specifically for your Brompton folding bike. The Cateye Volt400 let’s you see and be seen during your day and night commutes, while aiding your cycle journey in poor visibility conditions.
What is the Brompton CatEye AMPP light?
The Cateye Ampp lights also give you easy to view battery levels (3 levels!) and good side view lens slots. 5 light modes are available to help you find the right balance between visibilty, battery life and road beam. The included bracket mounts the light nicely over your Brompton’s front wheel.
