Clear Cycling Sunglasses – Bike Tip Of The Night

It doesn’t matter if you’re a professional cyclist or a daily commuter. Clear cycling sunglasses have many benefits besides just looking stylish. During the day, wearing regular cycling sunglasses will protect your eyes from wind, rain, and dangerous U.V rays. But when night time comes, you still want to protect your eyes from debris, dust, and bugs. This is where clear cycling sunglasses are extremely useful.

The benefits of clear cycling glasses is that you can still see where you’re going in the dark, while getting all the protection that regular cycling sunglasses offer. Clear glasses will protect your eyes from flying debris. Keep the wind out of your eyes. Prevent rain, dust, and bugs from hitting your eyes. And make you look fashionable all at the same time.

In this very useful article, I’m going to explain all the benefits that clear cycling glasses offer.

Clear cycling glasses protect your eyes from UV exposure

It’s important that you protect your eyes from UVA and UVB radiations from the sun. Repeated exposure from the suns radiation can effect the long-term health of your eyes, eventually ruining your vision.

Many studies have shown that the risk of cataracts is increased with (a gradual clouding of the lens of the eye) long-term exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays.

The suns exposure also increases your risk of keratitis (an inflammation of the cornea that can result in a temporary loss of vision in addition to a burning sensation).

Another problem with not protecting your eyes from the sun, is that it can cause them to dry out. This can be very painful!

NOTE: Protect your eyes from damage by wearing sunglasses that blocks 100% of the suns U.V. radiation.

Protect your eyes from air and debris

Cycling sunglasses will protect your eyes from drying out from wind. Wind can even cause your eyes to water, resulting in impaired vision.

They will also protect your eyes from dust, debris, and other objects that can be kicked up from other bikes and vehicles.

Safety

By choosing cycling glasses that prevent the sunlight from blinding you, your vision will be improved dramatically.

Plus, sunlight makes you squint your eyes, due to the burning sensation.

This can make riding very dangerous as it makes seeing everything around you extremely difficult.

It prevents you from watching other vehicles, intersections, signaling, avoiding potholes, pedestrians, etc.

Wearing sunglasses with polarized lenses will also reduce sun glare from flat surfaces such as street signs, windows, and  ice, all of which will impair your view / and or distract you as you ride.

When the sun is not shining

Just because the sun isn’t shining, it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear clear cycling sunglasses.

Cycling glasses protect your eyes from rain, water mixed with dirt, sand, and rocks that’s kicked up by other bicycles and vehicles. And of course wind and bugs.

It’s always important to protect your eyes while cycling. You can choose to buy an expensive pair of cycling glasses. Or get a cheap pair from places such as Amazon. It doesn’t really matter where you purchase them from. All that matters is that they protect your eyes. And if they look very stylish, all the better.

STAY SAFE! HAVE FUN! AND HAPPY RIDING!
