How Do I Stop A Xootr Scooter Without Crashing?

Hey Xootr scooter. I’ve been thinking of joining the adult scooter revolution, and I’m kinda confused on how to stop one if I decide to ride one for commuting. My whole life I’ve been recreationally racing road bikes, and commuting to work on hybrid bikes. The problem is that, I retired early, and don’t need a hybrid bicycle to commute anymore. I still have a few road bikes, but won’t dare leave them locked up somewhere while shopping or visiting. As you can see, I’m very familiar and comfortable with riding bikes. My main concern is that how do I stop a Xootr scooter if I decide to purchase one for short commutes close to home?

I don’t want to crash while riding the Xootr scooter, because I’m not too knowledgeable on how to ride one, let alone on how to stop one. I’ve looked at a few models online and read many reviews, mainly the ones on this website, and decided that the Xootr scooter would be the best choice.

If you could give me some information on how to stop a Xootr scooter safely, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Thank you Xootr scooter!

All Xootr scooters have a brake just like a bicycle hand brake on the front.  We also developed a rear fender brake that works exceptionally well. Just squeeze the brake lever and the front brake engages the front wheel for a subtle but very efficient braking. Simply step down on the rear fender and the metal pad under the shield will stop the rear wheel.

Thanks so much for your interest in our scooters.
