How I Needed To Block Texts On iPhone

Last year I made a bike mistake. Something that I said I’d never make. I signed up for text messages from a reputable organization (I’m not going to mention this organization), that I never thought would do the things that they did. As soon as I turned my phone on in the morning, I received a ton of texts. While working out, I received texts. Eating lunch, received texts. Commuting to the store or to an appointment, you guessed it, received texts. The amount of texts that I received was relentless. Finally, I had to find a way to block texts on iPhone.

How I needed to learn how to block texts on iphone

At first I’d just delete each text that came on my iPhone, but after a while this became a nuisance, because I’d spend too much time deleing these text messages.

Deleting over 15 text messages a day was time I could have spend doing other things, such as working on this magazine.

Plus, I didn’t just receive text messages from this organization, but others also. Apparently they gave my phone number to other sources, which only increased the amount of unwanted text messages I received each day.

What I needed was a way to completely block these unwanted text messages, plus any phone calls.

Fortunately, after a few searches on Google, I found a way to  easily block these annoying text messages.

After I found relief from these awful text messages, I decided to share what I learned in order to prevent other text message victims form experiencing the same.

Here’s what I learned about how to block text messages on iOS 14 and 13 as well as iOS 12, seeing that the way to block them has changed over the years.
