QUESTION FOR XOOTR SCOOTER AND STEVE:
Hey big Steve! I’m so glad I found you on this website. I recently purchased a great looking Xootr Mg scooter, and loving it. Compared to my older kick scooter, this one rides so much faster and smoother. I’m also appreciating the nice wide deck. I can finally switch my kicking legs without having to awkwardly jump back and forth between kicking. Or having to come to a complete stop. And the combination of the front and back brakes are much better for stopping. As much as I love this kick scooter, I do have an important question for you. What I wanted to ask you because it’s a concern, is that is my Xootr wheel not perfectly centered in the front fork normal. Is it supposed to be like that? Or is my Xootr scooter defective?
So far, it’s been riding very well, and seems to be safe. But I don’t want something to come apart or break while riding.
Steve, I’ve searched online for the answer to this question and couldn’t find it anywhere. You have no idea how happy I was when I found out you answer questions about Xootr scooters on this website. I know that if anyone can answer this question, it will be you.
So, again. If my Xootr wheel not perfectly centered in the front forks safe? Or should I be concerned?
I look forward to your answer big Steve.
ANSWER FROM XOOTR SCOOTER AND STEVE:
No, not at all. The fork is made through a stamping process from a flat sheet of aluminum. Typically each side of the fork is nearly the same distance apart after it is formed, but not always. This in no way has any affect on the performance of the scooter and is completely safe to ride.
